The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card offers plenty of points and travel perks, including a big bonus Qantas Points offer for new customers, lounge invitations and complimentary travel insurance. It also earns a competitive 1 Qantas Point per $1 on eligible purchases up to $7,500 per statement period, then 0.5 points per $1 for the rest of that statement period. But with a relatively high $425 annual fee, you should make sure you get enough value beyond the bonus points if you plan to keep this card.

Hi Dom,
No, ATO payments and other government charges aren’t eligible to earn points with this card. But Finder has a guide on how to pay the ATO by credit card and earn points which has more details on cards that earn points with the ATO and other government bodies. I hope this helps.

Hi , With the 2 complementary Qantas lounge Invitations would this be 1 x Invitation = 2 x persons entry? as a Qantas club membership allows this or would it be 2 x Invitations = 2 x person entry , thanks

Hi Jason,
Each invitation is valid for a single visit for 1 person. So if you were travelling with someone, you would need to use 2 complimentary lounge invitations for both of you to access the lounge. I hope this helps.

Is there a minimum income level for this card? I ask because I’m a SMSF retiree receiving a part pension. I own my own home, paid cash for my Benz and live a comfortable life but I don’t have a job (sorry not sorry). If I don’t work am I still eligible for this card?

Hi Gary, there is no minimum income requirement for the ANZ cards, however these types of black cards with other providers generally require around $75k minimum income. You may want to look at some of these options for credit cards for pensioners. Hope this helps!

Please elaborate on eligible purchases
Sarah Megginson Finder
January 05, 2024
Hi Anthony,
Eligible purchases refer to most everyday transactions like retail shopping, paying an invoice, bookings travel and shopping online.
Ineligible purchases for the purpose of meeting a spend requirement usually include things like: online gambling, interest, fees, cash advances, government payments (eg ATO), balance transfers and BPAY transactions.

Hi Amy,
Can you please confirm if there was offer for 110,000 Qantas FF points with the ANZ Black credit card and when the offer changed to 130,000 (100,000pts with $5,000 spend and 30,000pts after 12 Months)?
