      Hi Tony,

There are lenders that allow a 5% deposit. You can explore your options here.

This may involve you paying Lender’s Mortgage Insurance, so please check that before applying. You may also be able to get a home loan with a 5% deposit by taking advantage of state or federal government schemes. For an overview of those schemes, you can take a look at our first home buyers guide.

Speaking with a mortgage broker is also recommended to help you find the right kind of loan for your borrowing needs.

      Kind regards,
      Rebecca

      Hi Will,

We’d be happy to help – what further information do you need? We should be able to provide general tips and information, but you may need to speak to a mortgage broker or lender directly about your specific set of circumstances.

      Thanks,
      Rebecca
