Want to get more value for every dollar you spend? Well, you could earn Latitude Infinity Rewards point if you pay on plastic with the Latitude Infinity Visa credit card. This card has unlimited points potential and you can redeem a variety of rewards including gift cards, homewares and experiences. Read on to discover how you could reward your purchases with the Infinity Rewards program.

How can I earn Latitude Infinity Rewards?

You can earn Infinity Rewards when you use your Latitude Infinity Visa credit card to make eligible purchases. You’ll earn one point per $1 spent, with no points caps or tiered earn rates. As you can use this card anywhere Visa is accepted, you could earn points on anything from your weekend brunch and weekly grocery shop to your next hotel booking.

You can’t earn points on cash advances (such as ATM withdrawals), extended interest-free promotional purchases, balance transfers, insurance premiums and interest, fees or charges.

How to redeem Latitude Infinity Rewards

Once you’ve racked up some points, you can redeem them for rewards via the Latitude Infinity Rewards website. Once you’ve logged on using your account name (your card number) and password, you can redeem your points for a variety of rewards including gift cards, electronics and experiences.

Gift cards

You can redeem points for gift cards through the Infinity Rewards website. You can choose from a range of digital and physical gift cards from popular brands including Qantas, David Jones, Myers, Jetstar and many more. The digital gift cards are sent via email, whereas you’ll receive the physical gift cards in the post.

You can redeem gift cards for a range of point values that start from 2,000 points and go as high as 100,000 points. The number of points you’ll require will vary depending on the cost of the gift card. For example, a $25 David Jones gift card will set you back $2,500 points, whereas a $250 David Jones gift card costs 25,000 points. That’s roughly an exchange rate of 0.01 point per $1.

Home, electronics and lifestyle

You can also redeem your points for products for around the home, including electronics and outdoor products as well as homewares. For example, you could finally get your hands on that Vitamix you’ve been eyeing for 86,000 points or redeem the latest iPhone 7 Plus for 120,000 points. Choose from the latest electronic Bose sound system or try your hand at photography if you’ve got the points to spare. Just browse the online catalogue and you’re bound to find something you like!

Experiences

Redeeming points for experiences might sound a little out of the ordinary, but it’s something that Infinity Rewards offers to you! When you visit the “experiences” section of the Infinity Rewards website, you can sort your options by location so you can find something for you to enjoy for your next rainy day or holiday destination.

With a variety of experiences to choose from that range from a karaoke party at 55,000 points or an adrenaline-filled private helicopter tour of Chicago, USA for 57,500 points, the sky’s the limit when picking out reward experiences.

If you’re looking for something a bit more low-key, you can also redeem your points for movie vouchers. You can choose from a number of gift cards at a range of point levels that start from 3,200 and go as high as 21,000 points.

Pros and cons of Latitude Infinity Rewards

Pros

  • Uncapped rewards. With uncapped rewards, you have the potential to rack up as many points as you can throughout the lifetime of the card. As many cards come with points caps every statement period, this is a definite pro if you’re a big spender who wants to make the most of their purchases.
  • No points expiry. The absence of an expiry date attached to the points means that there’s no “oh damn” moment at the end of the year when you realise you haven’t used the card in a few months. Plus, it also means you can save up your rewards as long as you want if you have a particular reward in mind.
  • VISA accepted. As you can use this card wherever Visa is accepted, you can pick up points virtually everywhere.
  • Straightforward point system. Unlike other rewards programs with tiered earn rates and points caps, the Latitude Infinity Rewards program has a straightforward earn rate of one point per $1 spent on eligible purchases.

Cons

  • No frequent flyer program. Unlike some credit card rewards programs, the Latitude Infinity Rewards program isn’t linked to any partnered airline loyalty schemes. Many points chasers find flights and travel rewards more rewarding than gift cards and products, so it may not align with your rewards goals.
  • Limited catalogue. The catalogue on offer through Infinity Rewards is somewhat limited compared to other rewards programs. So, it could be worth browsing through the rewards store to see if there are any achievable and worthwhile rewards for you before you apply for the card.

The Latitude Infinity Rewards program is one way that you can reward your credit card spending. With uncapped points potential, a straightforward earn rate and a variety of rewards on offer, the Latitude Infinity Visa credit card could reward you as you spend.

As this is just one of many loyalty programs available to credit card holders, you can compare other rewards credit cards to make sure you’re choosing the right one for you.
